Shreem Electric's Medium Voltage Capacitor Systems are complete power factor correction solutions for 11 kV to 33 kV networks, supplied as metal clad enclosed systems or as structure mounted outdoor systems. The metal clad enclosed system is compact, compartmentalized and fully enclosed to protect live parts, and is available for both indoor and outdoor use. In the indoor version, the incomer section controls the PF system through a VCB or off-load isolator with incoming power cable, VT/CT/RVT (as per customer requirement), an APFC relay and a protection relay, while the capacitor feeder section includes power capacitors, a series reactor, HRC fuses, voltage controllers and RVT/CT/VTs. The outdoor version uses an isolator, VCB, CT, VT/RVTs, lightning arrester and power cable, with capacitor feeders consisting of capacitors and reactors with fuses and RVT, all controlled from an indoor or outdoor control relay panel with APFC and protection relays. The structure mounted outdoor system is built for outdoor substations and uses a vacuum circuit breaker with oil-cooled CTs, an off-load isolator to connect or disconnect the capacitor bank from the customer's power system, incoming cable termination with supporting structure, a surge suppressor and a protection voltage transformer. Each capacitor step has an outdoor vacuum capacitor switch (IP55 protection class), busbar with insulator, series reactor and capacitor units with expulsion fuse, with optional protection voltage and current transformers for step protection.
