Shreem Electric's AGRISTAR capacitors are cylindrical metallized polypropylene (MPP) capacitors designed for power factor correction in agricultural and light loads such as pump sets and small motors. Each unit comes in a compact aluminium can with non-PCB hard epoxy impregnation, a self-healing dielectric and an overpressure-sensitive three-phase disconnector for safety. Built to IS 13340-1/2, the capacitors are rated at 440 V, 50/60 Hz in delta connection, covering 1 to 6 kVAr, and can handle 1.3 times rated current and inrush up to 300 times. They have a mean life expectancy of 100,000 hours and a temperature class of -10/55°C, and are suited for altitudes up to 2000 m and humidity up to 95%. Supplied with wire terminals extended to 300 mm for easy connection, they can be mounted in any position using an M8 or M12 stud, and use external discharge devices (75 V in 3 minutes).
