Shreem Electric's Combo Harmonic Filter pairs a power capacitor with a detuned series reactor in a single matched package, designed to protect capacitor banks and avoid harmonic amplification and resonance in networks with non-linear loads. The capacitor can be selected from the HD-VAR cylindrical, BOX-VAR square box or APP range, each combined with a 7% detuned series reactor. The combinations are offered for effective outputs of 10, 12.5, 15 and 25 kVAr at 440 V (and 50 kVAr with BOX-VAR), using capacitors rated at 480 V or 525 V so that the effective output after reactor voltage rise is maintained. Each combination lists the capacitor kVAr, capacitance (MFD x 3), rated current, and the matching reactor inductance and current, making it easy to select the right pair for automatic power factor correction panels in harmonic-rich installations.
