Shreem Electric's Harmonic Filter Reactors are three-phase, dry type, iron core reactors designed to be connected in series with power capacitors to form tuned or detuned harmonic filters. They protect capacitors from harmonic currents and help avoid resonance and harmonic amplification in networks with non-linear loads. Manufactured to IS 5553 / IEC 60076, they are available with either copper or aluminium windings, with filter factors of 5.67%, 7% and 14%, rated voltages of 440 V, 525 V, 690 V and 750 V, and filter outputs up to 100 kVAr (other ratings on request). The reactors offer linearity up to 160%, value accuracy within ±3%, and insulation class F or H. The coil is wound with multiple conductors to reduce skin effect, tin plated terminals ensure reliable connections, and an adequate cushion is provided to avoid heating due to leakage flux. A mechanically sturdy design withstands vibration and keeps noise below 60 dB at rated load, and the reactors are naturally air cooled.
