Shreem Electric's Water Cooled Capacitors are high-reliability capacitors designed to improve the low power factor of induction heating and melting apparatus, used in melting furnaces, billet heating, forging and heat treating. Built to IEC 110 and IS 9251-1979, each unit uses multiple layers of impregnated synthetic dielectric film with a non-PCB, pollution-free insulating agent, and is cooled by a continuous copper coil carrying water in direct contact with the elements. A non-magnetic container minimizes heat generation at high frequencies, and hermetically fixed phenolic bushings with heavy copper studs ensure reliable current carrying. Suitable for indoor use at 10°C to 50°C, the capacitors can run at 105% of rated voltage for up to 12 hours in 24 and are routine tested for dielectric strength, capacitance, insulation resistance and sealing. They come with a performance guarantee of 12 months from commissioning or 18 months from dispatch.
