ACTIVE HARMONIC FILTER
ENGINEERING DESCRIPTION
Shreem Electric's SHR-SPC is an Active Harmonic Filter, an advanced power quality product developed in-house by Shreem R&D to mitigate harmonics caused by non-linear loads in industrial, commercial and residential installations. It uses fast, low loss IGBTs controlled digitally by an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based architecture with a Self-Adaptive Algorithm (ADALINE), and works by monitoring the harmonic current drawn by the load and injecting an equal and opposite phase shifted current into the network to cancel it out. It compensates harmonics from the 2nd to the 51st order with up to 98% attenuation, and also provides reactive current compensation (inductive and capacitive), load balancing and neutral current mitigation of less than 5%, in line with IEEE 519-2014. Available in 2 level (25 to 300 A) and 3 level (up to 400 A, with a 5 ms correction time) designs at 400 V or 440 V, 50 Hz, the units can be paralleled through CAN bus to increase capacity and come in standalone panel or modular cabinet versions, with wall or cabinet mounting, IP31 protection and forced air cooling. A 7 inch multi touch TFT HMI works as a full power analyzer with a real time oscilloscope, and protection is provided against under and over voltage, over current, over temperature and DC link over voltage. The product is CE certified, type tested to IEC 61326-1 2020 and EN 61010 A1-2019, and is suited for steel, foundry and rolling mills, chemical and sugar industries, welding loads, data centers, hospitals, malls, high rise buildings, food processing and waste water plants, automotive and assembly lines, and logistics centers.
