Shreem Electric's Medium & High Voltage Capacitors are high-performance, high-reliability all-film foil capacitors designed for power factor correction and harmonic filtering in electrical networks. Built with polypropylene film dielectric and aluminium foil electrodes, each unit is vacuum dried, impregnated with non-PCB, bio-degradable capacitor oil and hermetically sealed in a corrosion-resistant steel tank with glazed porcelain bushings. Units are protected by internal element fuses or an external fuse, include internal discharge resistors that reduce terminal voltage to 75 V or less within ten minutes of disconnection, and offer BIL up to 200 kV peak, in compliance with IEC 60871 and IEEE 18. The range also includes MV, HV and EHV capacitor banks up to 220 kV with RVT/NCT unbalance protection and series reactors (0.2%, 1% or 6%), as well as tuned and de-tuned harmonic filters to reduce harmonics and avoid resonance.
